Large-scale hedging and an exterior wall enclose the space
To the north , accessed through our dining room door , is the most conventional of our garden rooms . A paved terrace produce a dainty space for entertaining as it gently check and keeps people together . To further define and enfold this outdoor elbow room , we engraft a semicircle of lindens with low , spreading boxwood below . This create an intimate space that feels private and calm . The blue - and - snowy - themed perennial garden also has some cool magentas and very pale yellows for profoundness .
The Second Earl of Guilford rampart of our plate anchors this garden room . Container planting and climbing vines soften the sharpness of the patio and visually bind in with the fence bed . Shelves and hanging planter give the space a homey feel and emphasize the human scale leaf of the terrace .
Hedging do a garden room feel more private . A break in this outer “ wall ” can go like a window and a door , cater both views of and access to the garden beyond .

Make the most of an exterior wall . Putting decorative items at eye level helps this garden way feel more snug and cozy .
