Painting vinyl siding is prosperous when you habituate ego - priming exterior paints made specifically for this purpose . I gave my backyard throw away a makeover years ago and it still looks pertly - painted today .

When we bought our current star sign , I was so happy to finally have a garden shed . After year of garden without one , I would finally have a place to hoard tools and garden kitty .
But wow , I ca n’t recount you how ugly our shed was in actual life .
I do n’t sleep together if it comes through in the pic but the siding was originally a sparkle yellow that the Dominicus faded into a clean burn - in - the - disconsolate light-green yellow . Yuck .

So , cheers for having a shed but I could scarce stand the look of it . However , it was still in good condition so it was worth paint or else of replacing the siding .
When I finally painted it , I was kick myself for not doing it earlier . I had no ideapaints made for vinyl radical sidingare so adept .
The one we used applied easy , get across almost everything in one pelage , and still shows no signs of wear several years later .

Shed Makeover Tips
1Protect Plants
If you have plant life grow next to your shed , you ’ll take to protect them from blusher splatter and inadvertent stomping while you ’re working .

4Paint the Vinyl
We usedBenjamin Moore Aura – Waterborne Exterior Paintfor the shed wall and aluminium clipping .
This is a ego - prim paint suited for wood , hardboard , vinyl and aluminium siding , shingles , unglazed brick , concrete , stucco , clinker block , and ground metal .
It dry out to match in 1 hr . Can be re - coat after 4 minute .
My shed only needed 1 pelage . Woot !
I ’m sure other top brands also make a similar blusher .
5Decorate
Because the shed is the focal item of the garden , I like to change up the decorations count on my whims and the seasons .
This is the shed right after we paint it .
I used my outdoor plate collection to produce a spiral on the rampart . This shows how to make low - cost plate hanger .

Later that fall I had enough garden nontextual matter pieces to really prune it up .
The decor items let in an old metal gate , garden tools , a shell holder with dame bearing wheel , horse from a weathervane , window corner , birdhouse , and the word DREAM .
As I ’m update this it is several years subsequently and the paint still look everlasting . gravid product ! And cheers for not seeing the original colors any longer .
