It’s Just Business

I love pollinators , but not for the reasons you might opine . Sure , there is the whole help - industrial plant - set - come - rude - process - goodly - environment thing , and that is great . But I sleep together pollinator because they are all business . They head to the flower , do what they have to do , mayhap move on to the next one , and head home . This is my exact approach to pretty much everything , from food market shopping to interpersonal interactions . To prove my point , I will not elaborate ; the previous sentence mother the business done , so we can move on .

fortuitously for humanity , many other masses are not like me . I bump to be married to such a person . I love her in a heartfelt way , but when she tells me , “ Evan ’s school call today , ” she need to immediately follow that with what a schoolhouse administrator had to say about our son . It could be anything from a forgotten coat to excellent grades to miserable grade to seek arson . I will not know until she tells me . But instead of providing the point of the call — and of our conversation — she offers me six to seven minutes of shot setting , backstory , digressions , and opinions . I understand that she has a tale she desire to share , but she does n’t call up that I do n’t make love the ending . I just require to have it away if our child is OK .

Just as my wife does not always realize my penury to get to the point ( a wise coworker once explained that the key to talking to me is “ to start with the end ” ) , she does not realize pollinator . She believe all fly louse “ bees , ” and bees are stinging insects with no other purpose than to roam the air looking for anyone , peculiarly her , to sting . She count the fact that she has never been stung in her life as working for , not against , her disceptation .

Last class I was pulling weeds in the midsection of a spell of genus Agastache that was aswarm with pollinators . My married woman , who was standing at what she turn over a dependable distance , asked , “ Are n’t you afraid form among all those bees ? ”

I explained that we were work on different things and not step in with each other , so there was no trouble . “ I call up in a previous spirit you were a bee , ” she said . “ You act single - mindedly on things and get all raging and bothered when someone interrupts you . ”

“ And because I annoy you ? ” I asked .

“ Occasionally , ” she said . “ But you are basically harmless and good to have around . ”

“ Thank you , dear , ” I said and buy the farm back to weed , thankful that my married woman loves pollinator too .
