More fall beauty
We ’re back with Carla Z. Mudry in Malvern , Pennsylvania , today , enjoying the lulu that was lateOctoberin her garden . It is a wizard moment before the first hoar when there are still someflowersand beautiful exhibit ofautumn leaf .
Japanese maples(Acerpalmatum , Zones 5–9 ) are beautiful every time of the year but are at their flower in the fall .
The reaching of fall means the ending of the flowering season for many plants , but not for camellias ( Camelliaspecies and hybrids , Zones 7–10 ) . Different forms of camellias can be blooming from fall to spring in Zone 7 and warmer clime .

This incredible batch ofberriesis from aviburnum ; I think it’sViburnumdilatatum(Zones 5–8 ) . This shrub has masses of whitened flowers in the spring , but these Berry are the substantial highlight .
The lastrosesof the twelvemonth are the most treasured .
Monkshood ( Aconitum , Zones 4–8 ) blooms in the fall and offer a luck to go against out from the dominate yellow , orange , and red tone of the season and add blooms in shades ofblueandpurple . It is also impressivelyresistant to deer and coney .

It ’s hard to think a more perfect rose efflorescence . The cool weather of fall often helps some rose smorgasbord put out their most incredible flowers of the whole year .
Seven - son flower ( Heptacodiummiconioides , geographical zone 5–8 ) is a large bush orsmall tree . In midsummer it has big clusters of white flowers , which are follow up by these beautiful flushed bracts that hang on through fall .
Orange mums ( Chrysanthemumhybrid , hardiness varies by cultivar ) are a classical flower of evenfall and are beloved for good reason . They are also among the flowers with the longest history of being train for their sweetheart .

Azaleas ( Rhododendronhybrids , Zones 7–10 ) used to be just a spring garden feature , but the newrebloominghybrids ( most famously the Encore series ) bloom again in fall for an excess Cupid’s itch of flower power .
October is a great time to look up and enjoy the beauty of branches and change leave against the sky .
A glorious red Japanese maple glows against the backdrop of tree that still are mostly green .
