I was surprised at the harvest of basil I harvested from it last year during the cold atmospheric condition . I just order a selected batch of seeds instead of one of their pre - package kits , so I could select the herb I need to grow for preparation . It is a countertop unit that sits on my mudroom counter and the grow illumination are on a timer .
