On Friday , when I mentioned that I ’ll be heading back up to the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in the fall , Kathy Fink ( we featured her garden a few day ago , HERE ) emailed me to propose visiting one of her favorite places to escape to in Maine , which just happens to be run by some keen gardener . She sent some photograph , and we thought it might be nice to share , for any of you who make gardens a focussing when traveling .
Kathy says,“These exposure were taken in crepuscle atBufflehead Cove Innin Kennebunk , Maine , right on the Kennebunk River . Although Dock Square is within walking distance down a well - maintained dirt route , the Inn has a tuck away feeling . The river “ breathes ” through the tide cycle per second with duck’s egg fighting at depleted lunar time period and the episodic seal bulge out up .
The owners maintain a landscape and gardens that enhance the striking setting without ever vie with it . Their love of gardens and flower is brought inside with adorable organisation and paintings of works and vines on the wall in some rooms . This is one of the most tranquil and restorative places I know . The Inn used to be the family home of the owners ’ , and indeed they are share their personal labor of making love with their favorable guest . ”

I think I may just have to fling and make a detour . Thanks , Kathy !
