Enjoying a beautiful community garden
Eric Sternfels institutionalize in these photos today , of a beautiful community - produce garden in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania called Ned Wolf Park . We ’ve visited this garden a couple of times before ( Revisiting Ned Wolf Park ) and it is always a pleasure . This garden is particular because it is make and maintained by volunteers in the community of interests , so everyone can enjoy this beautiful space .
Starting inearly bound , the garden is fill with down rug of gentle chionodoxa ( Chionodoxaforbesii , Zone 3 – 8) prime .
Orangetulipsare cultivar of darwin tulips calledTulipa‘Dordogne ’ ( Zone 3 – 8) . Darwin tulip are one of the groups that incline to perenialize and occur back year - after - year it grown in good atmospheric condition .

A pink tree diagram paeony ( Paeoniahybrid , Zone 3 – 8) is paired withAmsonia’Storm Cloud ’ ( Zone 4 – 9 ) andHeuchera‘Silver Scrolls’(Zone 4 – 9 ) .
An nameless german flag ( Irishybrid , Zone 3 – 8) is surrounded byCotinus‘Grace ’ ( Zone 4 – 10 ) with darkpurpleleaves that complement this fleur-de-lis and the clouds of small flowers that will develop in the the flossy seeds that give the cotinus the common name of “ smoke bush . ”
Iristectorum‘Alba ’ ( white Japanese cap iris , Zone 4 – 9 ) is point withHeuchera‘Berry Smoothie ’ ( Zone 4 – 9 ) .

ThisEchinaceais the kind ‘ Pica Bella ’ ( Zone 4 – 9 ) . This is a compact version of the wildpurple coneflower , and fit in toresearch by Mt. Cuba Center , one of the change thatpollinatorslove the most .
Nigella‘Cramer ’s Plum ’ ( annual ) has showy ashen flowers which then develop into these incredibly beautifulseed pods .
Wider view of part of the park in summer , a perfect daub to sit and catch up with friends and neighbor .

Pinkfall leaveson a very previous Burning Bush , Euonymusalata(Zone 4 – 8) growing next to the mural of the Mungo Park ’s emblem .
